My month there has been great due to the people that i have met.  I really wish that the project would have been more volunteer oriented though.  While the work has been great, nobody has really explained anything to us about the animals and morale hasn't always been kept high.  The nights that we had out were absolutely great and the other volunteers are absolutely amazing people.

A few more nights a week to look forward to going out or an activity within the park would be greatly appreciated, it would do wonders for the morale.  The lodge is bit cold to sleep in as it was the middle of winter, which is too bad, because it is absolutely beautiful.  The game walks are amazing and the animals kept in the park are beautiful.  My time here has been great and I will remember it forever.  Thank you so much for helping me find this project.   Grin

Hi Amy

Glad you enjoyed yourself at the project and thanks for your honest feedback.

Pitty it was so cold in the evening down in the valley at the lodge, luckily winter is almost over, i will be sure to have the lodges a bit warmer by next winter.

Shortly a new volunteer co-ordinator (She is a Vet/Ranger) is starting at the project that will be doing some more teaching of the volunteers about the animals and the bush. She will also be providing much more extra entetainment. Soon the Pub will be at full swing with maybe a few few theme nights a month for extra morale.

As soon as it warms up i will be taking the volunteers out on more activities in the night on the reserve, like night drives and possible sleeping out on the reserve.

Please feel free to share any other comments or suggestions, as this all helps us make this a perfect project.

Hope you find all well and good back home,

Tyron
